Angelica Encinas, Principal
At Sierra K-8, we all own the shared belief that we have the capability of impacting change and growing as learners. The purpose of our work is to ensure that every student grows in understanding their purpose, exercises agency, and develops a strong sense of identity. We Are Sierra and We Can Do Hard Things!
Mission Statement
Our school is a transition from childhood to adolescence, a preparation for lifelong skills. Teaching teams incorporate flexible learning groups; recognize and value diversity among individuals; and address their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development. Collaborative planning challenges students to learn and express themselves in various ways to reach expected outcomes and experience success. The learning environment extends beyond the school to include families and community.
